P2PA is growing! We are continually updating systems and network infrastructure that your Internet connection relies upon. Our updates include new e-mail firewalls with anti-virus and anti-spam features; network intrusion detection and prevention systems; and new devices to control and fine-tune web access for our customers.

As part of our expansion, we have acquired a new block of more than 4,000 IP addresses from the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), the issuing authority.

In order to get the new addresses, ARIN requires that P2PA return the block of IP addresses delegated to us by AT&T. Since this is the IP block that P2PA opened business with, our nameservers use those numbers and must be moved. We have no choice but to bite the bullet and renumber our network, which will require changes on the part of all our customers as well.

NAMESERVERS
We have added new nameservers for use by P2PA customers. All customers will have to change each workstation and device on their network that is manually configured to match the new IP numbers. If the name server IPs are assigned using Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP), the change will have to be made on that server, router, or firewall.

To create a more diverse and available network infrastructure, we have many new nameservers online and attempt to evenly distribute pairs of these IP addresses to our customers. You will only require two from our DNS server pool, so when you are ready to get the addresses press this button to be assigned a primary and secondary DNS IP address:

These numbers are active and usable right now; you may change to them immediately. The old numbers (66.159.128.2, 66.159.128.3) will be deactivated without further notice at some time in 2011 when P2PA.com returns the IP block to AT&T.
